Welcome to the 2026-27 Academic Year: a message from our CEO, Antonello Barbaro

Between handshakes, shy smiles and curious eyes, today has been a truly rewarding day for us.
Welcoming our new students and their families is both a delicate and deeply exciting moment, and supporting and encouraging them throughout this journey of growth is something we take great pride in.
Here at H-FARM International School, we believe that a school should inspire curiosity about the world beyond its walls, it can never be limited to academic education alone. The 2026-27 academic year opens with a speech of our CEO, Antonello Barbaro.

“I see a lot of eyes in front of me, full of curiosity, expectations, and so many questions about what’s coming next tomorrow, or maybe even in the next hour. 

I would like to start from there, from questions, as I would like to explore three words with you today, three words that I hope will accompany your children and yourselves throughout this journey, and perhaps throughout your lives: questions, ambition, and judgement. 

Since the very beginning of human history, questions have been the driving force behind progress. They have guided our evolution, our greatest discoveries, and the deepest changes in every field of knowledge. 

Questions have always pushed us forward, encouraging us to discover, explore, and never stop. And our students are very fortunate, privileged, even: 

their generation has the opportunity and the responsibility, to ask the next impossible questions of the future. 
Questions such as: Can we live in space? Can we recreate the energy of a star on Earth? Can we live to 100 and be healthy? Can we reverse climate change? 
These are the kind of questions that, if taken seriously, can change the course of human history, just as they have in the past, whenever someone had the courage to ask them.  For our students the opportunity is not only to ask these questions, but to have the time and tools to search for their answers. your children, thanks to you, are in the right place: our school will give students everything they need to develop the necessary tools and skills to answer these and all the other questions their curiosity will raise in the next years, so that they can use innovation to improve the world and the society we live in. 

As H-FARM International School mission states: we want to empower our students to transform innovation into human progress for a better society. 
But great questions remain just questions unless there is someone willing to pursue the answers. And this is where the second word comes in: ambition.  

Ambition is not a synonym for arrogance. It is the spark that awakens our desire to push beyond our limits, to never settle for the step we have already reached but always look towards the next one.  The journey ahead of our students calls for a lot: passion, courage, dedication, commitment, and resilience. But if you’ve chosen to be here, it means that you and your children already have the right amount of ambition to begin. And we, for our part, our staff, teachers, educators, will do everything we can to support you: here you will find an environment full of challenges, stimulation, support and enriching opportunities, where every day will be different from the one before. 

But there is a third word, extremely important especially for the world that awaits your children beyond this school. 
The world is changing faster every day: just think about how much it has changed in the last two years with AI alone. Our era is being shaped by major technological breakthroughs, and over time we will have access to tools even more powerful than the ones we can imagine today. But the more powerful a tool becomes, the more important it is to use it responsibly. 

That is why, today, more than ever, it is essential to cultivate the ability to exercise judgement. 

• Judgement means being able to use tools in the right way and to master them, rather than being passively led by them; 
• to look at the complexity of reality and analyze it, taking every factor into account; 
• to ask the right questions, with genuine curiosity; 
• to make the right choices at the right time. 

Judgement and critical thinking are among our top educational priorities here at H-FARM International School: this is why, from the very beginning, we will ask your children to take an active role in every lesson and every activity both inside and outside the classroom. We want students to be the protagonist of this journey. And they will never be alone: your teachers, classmates, and the entire H-FARM International School community will walk alongside our students on this new journey.”
