What students embark on at H-FARM International School is not just an educational journey, but a comprehensive preparation designed to equip them with all the tools they need to face the challenges of an ever-evolving world with confidence and ambition.
Our bond with them does not end once they step out of the school’s doors—on the contrary, it strengthens. While it was easier to observe their progress when they were still in the classroom, now that they have taken flight, we want to continue following their journey, listening to their stories, and celebrating every milestone. Because each of their achievements is a part of us and our collective history.
Once a farmer, always a farmer.
Are you curious to know what H-FARM International School alumni are up to after graduation?
Choosing a university is a crucial step in every student’s life, but for Matteo Garzon, a graduate of H-FARM International School’s Diploma Programme, the path was clear from the start. His passion for computer science has been with him since he was just four years old, making the choice to study Computer Science at the University of Applied Sciences and Arts of Southern Switzerland (USI) almost natural.
One of the aspects that stood out to him the most was the university’s emphasis on small class sizes, which allows for a more personalized learning experience.
Throughout his journey toward his dream university, the support of H-FARM International School played a crucial role. While the IB programme opens up countless opportunities to study abroad, the guidance of school counselors made the admission process much smoother and more accessible.
“H-FARM made my university choice much easier.”
Among his most treasured memories from his time at H-FARM is his connection with Professor Suu, a mentor who left an indelible mark on his academic journey. “I think he is one of my fondest memories from my two years here,” he shares with gratitude.
Matteo knows just how demanding the Diploma Programme can be, which is why he has a clear piece of advice for those about to embark on the same path:

“In the first six to seven months of DP1, give it your all! Put in 130% of your energy to cover as much of the Standard Level content as possible so that you can focus on the Higher Levels later on.”
Looking ahead, Matteo aims to strike the right balance between academics, social life, and personal interests, making the most of every opportunity that university life has to offer.
