Tell us about your professional path

My journey began in Computer Engineering, where I developed a strong interest in complex systems, algorithms, and computational modeling. While pursuing my Master’s at the Università degli Studi di Verona and conducting research on model-based decision-making systems, I realized that true technological progress relies on how problems are framed, tested, and communicated. Alongside my technical background, I have taught programming, IT fundamentals, and English across secondary and adult education contexts—including delivering PNRR instruction in public schools in Verona. This intersection of engineering, AI research, and teaching naturally led me to focus on Computer Science and Design education aligned with the IB inquiry-based philosophy.

What’s your favorite aspect about teaching or education in general?

My favorite part of education is seeing students shift from passively memorizing information to actively testing ideas and designing solutions. I love creating environments where students explore programming fundamentals, system modeling, or iterative design cycles, and experience that breakthrough moment of clarity when their logic works and they gain confidence in navigating complex problems.

What is the most important thing for you as an educator?

Helping students develop structured thinking, intellectual curiosity, and the resilience to navigate uncertainty. For me, education should not be about rote learning; it is about equipping learners with computational thinking, ethical awareness, and problem-solving skills so they can think critically and act responsibly in an increasingly digital world.

Tell us about your hobbies or passions outside the school

Outside the classroom, I enjoy exploring emerging technology, following developments in artificial intelligence and intelligent systems, and coding side projects. I also love watching football, playing video games, listening to music, traveling, and hanging out with friends.

What’s the thing you’re anticipating the most about this upcoming school year in H-FARM?

I am most looking forward to collaborating with the international faculty, engaging with my students across MYP and DP, and immersing myself in H-FARM’s innovative, reflective learning community. I’m excited to guide students through hands-on Design and Computer Science projects while continuing to develop my pedagogy within the IB framework.

Tell us about your professional path

I have a degree in International Teacher Education for Primary Schools and have six years of experience teaching internationally. I have taught in Cairo (Egypt), Milan and Bremen (Germany). My experience has mostly been teaching children aged 4-7.

What’s your favorite aspect about teaching or education in general?

Discovering the world through children’s eyes and listening to their perspectives and ideas.

What is the most important thing for you as an educator?

Building genuine relationships with my students and create an environment where they feel valued and seen to reach their full academic and personal potential.

Tell us about your hobbies or passions outside the school

Outside of school, I enjoy reading and baking and spending time with people I love.

What’s the thing you’re anticipating the most about this upcoming school year in H-FARM?

I’m most excited about being part of a school that puts real learning experiences at the heart of their educational mission, giving students opportunities to connect their learning to the real world.

Tell us about your professional path

I started teaching soon after achieving my Mathematics Degree, back when I was 24. In the years since, I achieved a Teaching Qualification in Scotland, I worked as an IB MYP and IB DP teacher, and dipped my toes in MYP Coordination. After two years away from teaching, during which I followed my artistic passions to great success and personal satisfaction, I decided to come back to H-Farm Vicenza

What’s your favorite aspect about teaching or education in general?

One thing I love about this job is the opportunity to work with young creative minds, stimulating inquiry and critical thinking. I find it particularly satisfying to lead cohorts to A-AH! moments: nothing beats the satisfaction of seeing the students’ eyes light up with understanding. I think in these strange times, educators are called more than ever to guide students in exploring the powers of their minds.

What is the most important thing for you as an educator?

The most important thing for me is to create a welcoming environment, where everyone can express themselves and everything is welcomed as a learning opportunity. I make sure to embody this mindset in my every action, and have achieved very good results so far.

Tell us about your hobbies or passions outside the school

I am passionate about storytelling, a form of semi-improvised theatre. I have been training as a storyteller for 10 years, and I have recently debuted my first solo show. It’s old school and definitely a big departure from modern media, but I love it so much.

What’s the thing you’re anticipating the most about this upcoming school year in H-FARM?

I am looking forward to the school year as a whole: the morning routine, the Wednesday meetings, the last minute marking, the hundredth times someone asks the same question, the coffee breaks, the laughter in the staffroom. It’s hard to pick just one ingredient out of this recipe: I’m looking forward to all of it!
