Back I am delighted to introduce myself as the New Head of Boarding at H-FARM International School and feel privileged that I have been entrusted with helping move boarding forward and develop our provision to become the European School of choice!
Despite starting my career in the world of Sport, Boarding education has always been something I am deeply passionate about and I bring with me extensive leadership experience working within Boarding and Sport within Independent Prep, Senior and State Schools in the UK plus International boarding environments from time in Thailand. Throughout my career I have had the privilege of supporting young people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, helping to create boarding communities where students feel safe, heard, supported, valued and able to thrive.
I strongly believe that boarding should be somewhere of endless opportunities and feel like a second home but with structure and routine – a place where students are encouraged academically, socially and emotionally while also developing independence, resilience and making lifelong friendships. A key message is building positive relationships with students and maintaining strong and transparent communication with parents are both extremely important to me.
To our new families joining H-FARM, I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you, starting a new School and beginning a new boarding journey for the first time is a significant step for any family, the boarding teams priority is to ensure that every boarder feel welcomed, supported and settled as quickly as possible, while giving parents the confidence that your child is in a caring, safe and nurturing environment.
To our existing boarding families, thank you for being such an important part of our community, I look forward to getting to know you all, listening to your experiences and working together to build on the strong foundations already in place. The relationships between the School, boarding staff, boarders and families is central to creating a successful boarding experience, and I want communication and partnership to remain at the heart of what we do.
For all of our families, whether you are new to H-FARM or have been part of our community for some time my door is always open, I hope together we can create an environment where boarders feel a genuine sense of belonging and where families feel informed, involved and confident in the care their children receive.
What particularly excites me about H-FARM is the opportunity to contribute to an already strong boarding culture and continue creating an environment where every student feels happy, cared for and inspired to achieve their best in whatever field they choose.
As I begin this new chapter, I very much look forward to becoming part of the wider school community and sharing my vision for the future of boarding here at H-FARM.
