H-ACK Kids: Blooming Ideas

H-ACK Kids: Blooming Ideas

Celebrating 10 years of TEDxVicenza through creativity, learning, and shared inspiration

To celebrate the tenth anniversary of TEDxVicenza, H-FARM International School Vicenza had the honour of joining the event as a visionary partner, opening its campus to a day entirely dedicated to the power of ideas.
Bringing together more than 300 participants of all ages, from curious children to inspired adults, the campus turned into a vibrant hub of creativity, learning, and shared exploration.

This year’s theme, “Blooming Ideas,” perfectly captured the essence of the day.
Just like seeds that grow when nurtured, ideas too can flourish when given space to be shared and developed.
TEDxVicenza and H-FARM International School share this belief: that innovation starts from curiosity and collaboration, and that every person, regardless of age, has the potential to plant the seeds of change.

In this spirit, the Vicenza campus became a living garden of ideas, a place where adults, children, and educators explored innovation not as a theory but as an experience.
Workshops, creative challenges, and interactive sessions encouraged participants to think differently, connect deeply, and discover how imagination can shape the future.

While adults engaged in more than twenty creative and thought-provoking workshops led by professionals, H-FARM designed parallel activities for younger participants, ensuring that the day’s theme , Blooming Ideas, could be lived and understood at every age.

The Creative Labs offered children between 3 and 8 years old the opportunity to explore art, science, and technology through play.
They painted to the rhythm of music, experimented with simple robotics, created large collective artworks, and uncovered the wonders of science through hands-on discovery.
Each activity was an invitation to observe, imagine, and collaborate, showing that creativity grows when curiosity leads the way.

But the heart of the day was H-ACK Kids, where participants aged between 8 and 13, divided into small groups, faced three challenges inspired by the great themes of our time:

Challenge 1 – Seeds of the Future: How can we make our planet greener, more sustainable, and happier for everyone?

Challenge 2 – Vicenza 2035: The City of Ideas: How can we imagine a smart city where technology improves people’s lives?

Challenge 3 – Ideas that Unite: How can we transform school into a place of creativity, collaboration, and friendship?

Guided by H-FARM International School mentors, children learned to observe problems, ask meaningful questions, imagine solutions, and create small prototypes using simple materials such as cardboard, bottle caps, fabric, string, paper, and colors.
Through a process that combined design thinking, play, and hands-on creativity, they discovered how teamwork and imagination can lead to innovation.

A total of 13 teams took on the challenges, each bringing their projects to life and presenting them with enthusiasm during the final showcase.
Some imagined more inclusive schools with spaces for play and collaboration; others designed greener cities with rooftop gardens and interactive parks; and others envisioned new, eco-friendly technologies.
On stage, with their models and drawings, the children showed that even at ten years old, it’s possible to think like true innovators.

The winning team, The Tigers, was awarded one free week at the H-FARM International School Vicenza Summer Camp 2026, a recognition of their creativity, teamwork, and forward-thinking spirit.

H-ACK Kids was more than a workshop; it was a living ecosystem of ideas, where every participant could share their vision and see it take shape.

It became a day of collective growth, where collaboration, empathy, and creativity converged, reminding us that true innovation starts with the courage to imagine together.✨ Because every idea, if nurtured with care, can become a seed for the future.
