H-ack Vicenza: imagine the city of the future!

What if we told you that designing the Vicenza of your dreams is now possible?
On Saturday, April 5, 2025, H-FARM International School Vicenza will host an exciting hackathon designed to empower young minds through creativity, collaboration, and innovation. Open to students from all schools in the province, the event welcomes participants aged 8-10 years and 11-14 years, who will be divided into teams to tackle real-world challenges under the guidance of educators and mentors. Taking place from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, this unique initiative will allow students to apply design thinking methodologies and problem-solving skills to develop solutions for key societal issues. Registrations are now open, and we can’t wait to see you there!
Throughout the day, students will work in teams to address three major challenges: Safe Streets for All, focusing on enhancing pedestrian and cyclist safety in urban environments; The Future of Health & Well-being, which invites participants to explore innovative ways to make health services and healthy lifestyles more accessible; and A World of Creativity & Imagination, encouraging students to experiment with artistic expression as a means of fostering social change and community engagement. Each challenge will be introduced by an expert in the field, who will offer valuable insights and perspectives to inspire participants. These experts will also evaluate the projects at the end of the day and recognize the most impactful ideas with awards.
The event is structured to provide a hands-on learning experience where participants will brainstorm, prototype, and present their solutions. The hackathon begins with a warm welcome and an introduction to the design challenges, followed by structured work sessions where teams will collaborate, refine their ideas, and receive feedback from mentors. In the final phase, each team will present a five-minute pitch to a panel of experts, who will assess the projects based on their creativity, feasibility, and potential impact. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony celebrating the most innovative and well-developed solutions.
By combining creativity with structured problem-solving, participants will gain valuable experience in turning ideas into actionable solutions. Whether interested in urban safety, health and well-being, or artistic expression, every participant will have the opportunity to contribute their unique perspective and work towards meaningful change.
This event is a fantastic opportunity for young learners to explore new ways of thinking, collaborate with peers, and engage with professionals who are passionate about fostering innovation. If you are a student eager to take part, don’t miss this opportunity and register now!
