H-FARM International School Rosà renews its Common Sense School Certification

We’re proud to share that H-FARM International School Rosà has renewed its status as a Common Sense School for the school year 2024-2025.
Why it matters
Being a Common Sense School means we’re actively teaching students how to make smart choices online, whether that’s knowing how to protect their privacy, recognize misinformation, or handle social media in a healthy way. In today’s world, these skills are just as important as reading and math. This recognition highlights our ongoing commitment to helping students grow into thoughtful, responsible digital citizens.
Common Sense is a nonprofit organization that helps educators and families navigate the digital world. They offer trusted resources on media and technology use in schools and homes, along with a full curriculum on digital citizenship used by tens of thousands of schools across the globe.
Renewing our certification means we’ve continued to meet their high standards and integrate their lessons into our teaching practices.
How We Teach Digital Citizenship
At H-FARM International School Rosà, digital citizenship isn’t a one-off lesson, it’s part of our everyday learning. Students learn how to:
- Stay safe and protect their personal data online
- Think critically about what they see and share
- Treat others with kindness in digital spaces
- Understand how the internet shapes the world around them
Whether it’s a discussion in class about screen time, a project that explores online news sources, or a workshop on cyberbullying, we’re making sure students have the tools to make good choices and think for themselves. In fact, we recently launched a series of H-Talks on Cybersecurity and Digital Education, giving students and families tools to better understand the challenges and opportunities of living in a digital world. You can read more about that initiative in our article on Cybersecurity and Digital Education.
This milestone also reflects the passion and hard work of our educators. It’s thanks to their continued efforts, and the support of all our staff and families, that we’ve created a learning environment where students feel empowered and supported, both in person and online.
Looking Ahead
As technology keeps evolving, we’re committed to growing with it, making sure our students are not just users of technology, but thoughtful participants in the digital world. This renewal is just one step in a larger journey to help our students thrive in all parts of life, online and off.
