International Evening Vicenza

International Evening Vicenza

On March 21, 2025, H-FARM International School Vicenza held its very first International Evening, a celebration of the rich cultural diversity within our school community. The event brought together more than 160 students, families, and staff members for a night of discovery and connection.

Thanks to the enthusiasm of over 25 volunteer families, 11 national stands were set up, each representing a different country within our school. Through engaging activities and meaningful interactions, visitors had the chance to explore new languages, sample traditional foods, play cultural games, and learn about customs from around the world.

To make the experience even more interactive, students received a “passport” to be stamped at each stand. Once they had visited all of them, they were awarded a “Traveller’s Certificate”—a fun keepsake marking their evening of exploration and learning.

Activities included everything from Chinese calligraphy and a Hollywood-style photo booth, to live music and culinary delights from Puerto Rico, Spain, and the Dominican Republic. Turkey introduced traditional games, while Poland and the Czech Republic showcased handmade crafts and sweets. Australia offered Aboriginal painting workshops, Thailand brought traditional dance and writing, and Greece welcomed visitors with local cuisine and a taste of the Greek language. Italy hosted an interactive quiz focused on regional traditions.

A special highlight of the evening was a project presented by our PYP5 students, who shared their research on Italy’s diverse regions. Their clear and thoughtful presentations added an educational depth to the event.

International Evening was more than just a celebration—it was a hands-on expression of one of our core values: learning to see the world with open and curious eyes. Through these shared experiences, students expanded their global awareness and felt a deeper connection to a wider, multicultural community.

We’re incredibly grateful to all the families and volunteers who contributed their time and energy to make the event a success. We hope this wonderful evening becomes a cherished tradition in our school calendar for years to come.
