Hack to the Future, a hackathon to improve the lives of diabetics
With Novo Nordisk, we organized a digital hackathon on this year's 100th anniversary of the discovery of insulin.
Hack to the Future is the first step in Novo Nordisk's innovation journey for people with diabetes, their caregivers, and medical professionals.
On June 14-15, 2021, 50 experts among diabetologists, psychologists, hospital pharmacists, nurses, and representatives of patient groups collaborated online to address 3 challenges:
- increasing patient motivation and adherence to therapy
- encouraging the adoption of healthy lifestyles
- supporting specialists in mastering different skills to enhance their work
The winners: Health Olympics 2.0
A digital platform that promotes the adoption of healthy behaviors among teens through dynamics of play and competition, encouraging socialization activities (sports, experiences, peer education) and actively involving their families.
Novo Nordisk will develop this idea together with the winning team.
This initiative follows other diabetes-related projects on which we have collaborated with the global healthcare company, such as the Zucchero Amaro awareness campaign and the AIDA chatbot.
