Paperleaves, a business game for Novartis Oncology

Testing startup dynamics to innovate the corporate mindset.

Integrating the startup mentality into the corporate culture through an engaging and collaborative experience: this was the goal of Paperleaves, a digital business game we created for the Oncology division of Novartis Italia.

This project is part of a broader innovation journey we have designed for the pharmaceutical company. For 3 weeks, 280 employees collaborated on a platform developed by us, experimenting with the dynamics of a real startup. The products (paper leaves) were physically made and put on sale in a virtual market, whose rules and purchase criteria were established beforehand by our facilitators and never shared with the participants.

The digital game was linked to a concrete objective of Corporate Social Responsibility involving Dynamo Camp, a foundation that offers free recreational therapy programs to children and teenagers suffering from chronic diseases.
