H-FARM International School’s Personal Projects Shine at Exhibition 2025

With enthusiasm and pride, H-FARM International School inaugurates the Personal Project Exhibition 2025, an event that celebrates the talent, dedication, and ingenuity of M5 students. After six months of intense work, these young innovators are ready to showcase the results of their research and creations in an exhibition that is much more than just a presentation—it is the culmination of a journey of personal and academic growth.
As Alba Manso, MOP Coordinator, emphasizes, this day is entirely dedicated to the students and their extraordinary commitment. It is a moment of celebration that highlights the skills acquired and the challenges overcome along the way. “Today is truly all about the students and their ability to showcase the work they have done over the past six months. We celebrate their learning, but also the difficulties they have faced and overcome,” says Ms. Manso.
What is the Personal Project?
It is the culmination of the Middle Years Programme (MYP) of the International Baccalaureate—an experience that allows students to transform ideas into tangible projects through research, innovation, and practical creation. This year-long journey offers students the opportunity to:
- Explore topics ranging from science to technology, arts to sustainability.
- Develop essential skills such as critical thinking and project management.
- Gain autonomy and problem-solving abilities in executing complex projects.
- Prepare effectively for the challenges of the IB Diploma and the professional world.
The atmosphere on this day is filled with energy and inspiration: each student tells a unique story of commitment, creativity, and determination. The classrooms and corridors of the school transform into a true laboratory of ideas, where innovative prototypes, in-depth research, and artistic creations showcase the passion and dedication of these young talents.
Some, driven by a passion for physics, have built a Wilson cloud chamber, making the invisible visible: cosmic particles dancing before our eyes in real time. Nearby, a project touches on deep social sensitivity, turning 3D modeling into a powerful tool for raising awareness about breast cancer.
Technology intertwines with social responsibility in the hands of a student who has created something special: an interactive book accompanied by a Python-based video game, designed to help young children develop a healthy relationship with screens. Sustainability comes to life in surprising ways: old boats are transformed into futuristic apartments, while algae become the focus of a digital platform exploring their revolutionary environmental potential.
Some projects stem from personal experiences and everyday challenges: a student has redefined the concept of comfort by designing an ergonomic chair for those living with scoliosis, while a passion for tennis has inspired an innovative redesign of courtside benches.
Each project tells a personal story, a problem to be solved, a dream to be realized. This is the true essence of the Personal Project—the ability to turn passions and insights into concrete solutions for the world of tomorrow.
The Personal Project Exhibition is not just a showcase but a true meeting point between students, teachers, and the community, where ideas are exchanged, and opportunities for growth emerge. This event is a cornerstone of our educational approach, where academic rigor, creativity, and practical skills merge to prepare students for the challenges of the future.
Today, we celebrate not only the projects but, above all, the courage, dedication, and ambition of each student who has turned an idea into a concrete reality. We are proud to accompany them on this extraordinary journey of learning and innovation, confident that the leaders and innovators of tomorrow are already taking their first steps within the walls of our school.
