Have you ever dreamed of being invited by Apple to Cupertino?
There’s a moment when a passion becomes something more. When hours spent coding, experimenting, failing, and trying again turn into a real project. And when that project gets recognized by Apple as one of the best in the world… well, that’s when you can truly say: “Wow, I made it.”
That’s exactly what happened to Alvise when, one afternoon, he saw a notification pop up on his phone from Apple:
“You’ve been selected to attend WWDC25” — the Worldwide Developers Conference, Apple’s prestigious annual event where the company unveils the future of its technology ecosystem.
A milestone built with passion and vision
Alvise is 16 years old, with a rare sense of curiosity and a dream he’s been nurturing since the age of 10: to become a developer capable of using code to make things simpler, more understandable, and more accessible.
His journey started early — self-taught at first. What began as curiosity quickly turned into a true passion.
At 13, he created MyVenice, a tourist guide to his hometown, instead of the usual middle school final paper. This year, he also developed Whats’AI, a project designed to explain how artificial intelligence works in simple terms.
But with EncryptLens, he went even further — not just in terms of clean code or intuitive design, but with a powerful idea: building a bridge between two worlds — cutting-edge technology and accessible learning.
The project that earned him Apple’s recognition is an app designed to make cryptography understandable to everyone — not just to tech experts.
With a simple, intuitive interface, users can explore and experiment firsthand with four core algorithms: Caesar cipher, substitution cipher, RSA encryption, and hashing. Each section walks users through the encoding and decoding processes step by step, inviting them to interact and learn by doing.

“With EncryptLens, I wanted to build something not only technical but also educational. Understanding how encryption works makes us more aware digital users — and that’s essential in the world we live in.”
The Swift Student Challenge: 350 Young Innovators Worldwide
Every year, Apple selects 350 young developers from across the globe to take part in the Swift Student Challenge — a competition that celebrates the best student projects developed using Swift, Apple’s official programming language.
Thanks to EncryptLens, Alvise is now attending a week-long experience at the heart of Apple’s ecosystem. From visiting the Cupertino campus to joining hands-on workshops with Apple engineers, and networking with other talented students from around the world — it will be a deep dive into the future of technology, an incredible opportunity to learn, share, and be inspired.
“For someone passionate about coding like me, it’s the dream of a lifetime. I hope this is just the beginning,” says Alvise with the determination of someone who looks to the future with both ambition and joy — and maybe, one day, with a place at Apple.

When context makes all the difference
Alvise’s talent flourished not only through his own dedication but also thanks to the support he received along the way.
The H-for Human Foundation believed in his potential and offered him a scholarship to attend H-FARM International School.
On this journey, he was guided and mentored by Mr. Amr, his teacher, who helped him refine and polish the app before submitting it.
Riccardo Donadon, Founder of H-FARM
“H-FARM International School was created precisely to give students like Alvise the opportunity to take flight and when it happens, it reinforces the awareness that we’re on a path capable of making a real and meaningful impact on the progress of society.”
A story that inspires
For us at H-FARM, this achievement is a huge source of pride — not only because Alvise represented Italy and our school at such a prestigious event, but because it proves that when talent meets the right environment, it can truly take off.
“This isn’t just my achievement,” says Alvise. “It’s the result of everyone who supported me — starting with my school. I hope this inspires other students like me to believe in their ideas and bring them to life.”
Behind every great project, there’s curiosity, dedication, and the freedom to explore.
These are the values we strive to cultivate every day. It’s not just about teaching kids how to code — it’s about creating the conditions where they can imagine, build, fail, improve… and eventually succeed.
Well Done, Alvise — and thank you for reminding us that dreams can be programmed.
