H-FARM International School Venice Becomes an Official LAMDA Centre

A new international opportunity to nurture our students’ expressive and communication skills
We are proud to announce that H-FARM International School Venice has officially been accredited as a LAMDA Centre. This milestone enables us to offer our students the opportunity to take part in a globally respected programme that strengthens performance, public speaking, and communication skills from a young age.
“We are proud to announce that H-FARM International School Venice is now an official LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) centre. This June, we will be offering our first round of LAMDA exams in group, duo and solo performance and communication. H-FARM is the only school in North Italy accredited to deliver these prestigious qualifications, which support students in building confidence, creativity, and expressive communication. We are excited to open this new opportunity for our PYP learners to develop their dramatic and public speaking skills through an internationally recognised programme.”
— Anthony Hamblin, Head of PYP Programme
The integration of LAMDA into our curriculum reflects a broader belief at the heart of our school: that a truly holistic education must go beyond traditional academic pillars. As our CEO, Antonello Barbaro, often emphasizes, education must embrace the transformative power of creativity, self-expression, and collaboration — elements that the performing arts foster in profound and lasting ways.
Performing arts are not merely extracurricular; they are fundamental to shaping resilient, well-rounded, and innovative individuals. Engaging in drama, for example, allows students to step into different roles, explore diverse perspectives, and develop empathy. This process builds emotional intelligence — a vital skill for navigating the social and emotional complexities of life. From rehearsals to final performances, students cultivate teamwork, communication, and a shared sense of responsibility. Simply standing on a stage and delivering a line can be a powerful act of growth, building confidence and clarity in expression.
“By fostering creativity, empathy, communication, and self-confidence,” says CEO Antonello Barbaro, “the performing arts empower our students to thrive not only academically but also as individuals and future leaders.”
Through this LAMDA partnership, we aim to create those moments of transformation within our classrooms. Starting with our Primary Years Programme (PYP), students will engage in group, pair, and solo experiences that enhance their ability to speak, perform, and connect with others. The benefits go far beyond performance: these experiences empower young people to thrive academically and personally, while preparing them to lead with empathy and conviction.
This exciting development marks a new chapter in our commitment to innovation and student-centred learning. Becoming the first and only LAMDA-accredited centre in Northern Italy reinforces our position as a forward-thinking international school — and strengthens our mission to help every student find their voice, both on stage and in the world.
