Artificial Intelligence Olympiad: our young innovators qualify for the National Finals
Our school proudly celebrates an outstanding achievement: Fotios and Tikhon placed 2nd and 11th respectively in the Selection Phase of the 2025–2026 Artificial Intelligence Olympiad (AIO), securing a spot in the National Final. This remarkable result positions them among the top sixteen students in Italy in an increasingly competitive and technologically advanced event.
A success that highlights skill and preparation
The AIO Selection Phase consists of a single but highly challenging task: participants must process provided data, produce correct outputs, and, when useful, train AI models using the dataset made available. The competition evaluates analytical thinking, algorithmic creativity, and independence in choosing digital tools and approaches.
In this demanding environment, Fotios delivered an exceptional performance, earning 2nd place, while Tikhon secured a strong 11th place. Both have been invited to compete in the National Final, where the country’s most promising AI talents will face off.
Excellent results from all participants
Although only the top 16 could advance to the next stage, the other three students representing our school also delivered commendable performances, all ranking within the top 2% nationwide:
- Alex – 18th place
- Alvise – 28th place
- Dmytro – 34th place
These results demonstrate the strength of our computer science program and the dedication of our students.
Looking ahead to the National Final
Our school community extends its congratulations to all five students for their commitment and hard work. A special message of encouragement goes to our two finalists, who will proudly represent us in the upcoming national round.
Congratulations to all, and best of luck to Fotios and Tikhon at the National Final!
