The World of Venture Capital Meets Students
Last week, the students of H-FARM International School had the opportunity to engage with a prominent figure in the Venture Capital industry, Rahul Khanna, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Trifecta Capital, one of the leading funding platforms for emerging companies in the digital economy.
With 28 years of experience in the technology, media, and telecommunications sectors, and a résumé that includes serving as Managing Director at Canaan Partners and earning an MBA from the prestigious Kellogg School of Management, Rahul Khanna offered students a unique perspective on the importance of Venture Capital for innovation. Trifecta Capital, his company, is a pioneer in the sector, having launched India’s first Venture Debt Fund in 2015, investing over $700 million in successful startups like Meesho, Big Basket, and Zepto.
During his lecture, Rahul explored various aspects of startup financing, from identifying emerging companies with growth potential to the importance of strategic support for scaling a business. Students had the chance to ask direct questions, gaining concrete insights and practical knowledge about an industry rarely explored so closely.
This event is a perfect example of the unique educational model offered by H-FARM International School. Instead of limiting itself to teaching theoretical concepts, H-FARM creates opportunities for its students to learn directly from industry experts and leaders.
Why Does This Matter?
When students have the chance to hear success stories, analyze real cases, and engage in dialogue with professionals who face the challenges of their industry every day, they develop skills that go far beyond textbooks:
- Critical Thinking: They gain a better understanding of how to identify complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
- Practical Orientation: They bridge the gap between theory and practice, gaining firsthand insight into how markets operate.
- Inspiration and Networking: They connect with figures who can become role models and valuable resources for their future.
The encounter with a professional of Rahul Khanna’s caliber underscores H-FARM’s commitment to providing its students with a springboard toward real-world challenges, preparing them to tackle a constantly evolving world with competence and creativity—where Venture Capital and innovation play a crucial role.
