Uniting Ideas and Impact: Grundfos Meets the Students of H-FARM International School

Yesterday, H-FARM International School had the honor of hosting Grundfos, a global leader in advanced water technology solutions, for an event that exceeded all expectations. The day created a bridge between the academic and business worlds, offering students a unique opportunity to engage with international experts on crucial topics such as sustainability, global water challenges, and innovative solutions that will shape our shared future.

Leadership and Shared Vision

The event began with an engaging presentation led by Silvio Vanzo, SVP Group Purchasing & CPO of Grundfos, who kicked off a day of genuine intellectual exchange. Alongside him was an excellent panel of prominent figures from the company: Louise Koch (Group Head of Sustainability), Zoràn Kohuth (Director of Purchasing Excellence), Francesco Cesare Magri (VP of Water Treatment Solutions Europe), and Morten Tordrup Andersen (Senior Purchasing Director for EMEA and Global Industry).
Each speaker offered valuable perspectives on Grundfos’ corporate philosophy, sharing with the young participants the integrated vision of technology, sustainability, and global impact that guides every aspect of the company’s daily operations.

Grundfos: A Legacy of Innovation with a Vision for the Future

Founded in 1945, Grundfos is not just a company that produces over 15 million pumps each year. It is an entity with a clear mission: to respect, protect, and enhance the flow of water. This commitment transcends the business model and manifests in every innovation, strategic decision, and partnership.
During the talk, our guests guided the students through the company’s history and its ongoing journey of innovation, highlighting how social and environmental responsibility are not abstract concepts, but operational principles that guide every decision. The key message that emerged was powerful: business decisions can and must generate a positive impact economically, socially, and ecologically.

Experiential Learning That Inspires Action

The most valuable element of the event was undoubtedly the open and sincere dialogue between students and professionals. The young participants had the opportunity not only to ask insightful questions but also to explore how their individual passions — whether in science, business, or technology — can contribute to building a more sustainable future.
As a testament to Grundfos’ holistic approach to well-being, a brief stretching session was also organized during the event, reminding all present that innovation, like learning, thrives when both mind and body are in balance.

Authentic Connections That Transcend Formality

The shared lunch between students and guests represented an opportunity for genuine exchange that rarely happens in formal settings. In this relaxed environment, the students were able to have personal conversations with the Grundfos professionals, gaining perspectives and advice that no textbook could offer.
These moments of authentic connection go beyond academic theory: they demonstrate how knowledge, values, and action intertwine in the real world and why the voices of young people are essential in shaping the future.

Towards Conscious and Responsible Leadership

H-FARM International School is committed to shaping global citizens who are not just informed, but actively engaged in positive change. Yesterday’s event was the perfect example of how exposure to real-world challenges and inspiring leaders can ignite curiosity, responsibility, and ambition in the next generation of innovators.
The future of water — and our planet — is in the hands of those willing to learn, innovate, and lead with purpose. Yesterday, our students took a significant step toward this awareness, carrying with them not just new knowledge, but a renewed determination to be part of the solution.

The meeting with Grundfos was not just an educational event, but the beginning of a dialogue that we hope will transform into a lasting collaboration between two realities that, despite their different specific missions, share the same vision: to create a future where technology, sustainability, and humanity coexist in harmony, for the benefit of future generations.
