Welcome Back to Our Inspirational Teachers

Welcome Back to Our Inspirational Teachers

As we embark on a new academic year at H-FARM International School, it is with great excitement and admiration that we welcome back our dedicated and passionate teachers. At the heart of our mission is the belief that education is the key to transforming innovation into human progress, and fostering a better society. Our teachers play a crucial role in making this vision a reality.

In his opening remarks, Antonello Barbaro, CEO of H-FARM Education, emphasized, “Working as educators here at H-FARM offers us the chance to impact the lives of young learners by helping them build skills, knowledge, and motivation. We, as educators, have the opportunity to foster students’ curiosity, imagination, and creativity, driving them to become increasingly engaged learners.” This mission is evident in every classroom, where educators are dedicated to shaping the future.

The welcome event also featured inspiring speeches from the Head of Programmes and from Emiliano Cori, the Head of School, who echoed the CEO’s sentiments while emphasising the importance of fostering a nurturing environment where both students and teachers can thrive. “We are not just educators; we are mentors, guides, and partners in our students’ journeys,” he said, highlighting the vital role teachers play in shaping young minds.

He also introduced the Six Dimensions of Success, a guiding framework that the school adopted last year to shape both student and teacher development. “Emotional Success, Social Success, Learning Success, Community Success, Language Success, and Preparedness for the Future—these are the dimensions that define our approach at H-FARM Venice,” Emiliano explained. He encouraged teachers to integrate these principles into their daily practices, ensuring that they not only guide students toward academic achievement but also contribute to their overall well-being and preparedness for the future.

The Head of Programmes spoke about the exciting curriculum developments planned for the year, emphasizing the integration of new technologies and interdisciplinary approaches. “Our goal is to equip students with the skills and mindset needed to navigate the complexities of the modern world,” he remarked, encouraging teachers to continue being innovative in their teaching methods.

Working as educators at H-FARM is not just a job—it’s an opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of young learners. “We as educators can contribute to driving students’ curiosity, imagination, and creativity to become more and more active learners,” emphasized our CEO. Every day, our teachers contribute to shaping these qualities, guiding students to become individuals prepared to navigate the vast ocean of opportunities and rapid changes in today’s world.

Our educators are encouraged to be mindful of their approach: “I encourage you to give students, whenever appropriate, voice and choice so that they can have a voice in what they are learning and a choice in how they are learning.” By empowering students in this way, we help them grow into global citizens who create value for society.

As our students return next week, we urge our teachers to look into their eyes, greet them by name, and invest in building a partnership with each one of them. “With your help, they can be whatever they want. Make them feel that they are special and that you are on their side.” Every student is special, and with the support of our exceptional educators, they can achieve anything they set their minds to. Your role in their lives is invaluable, and for that, you have our deepest admiration and gratitude.

As Christa McAuliffe, the American teacher and astronaut who tragically lost her life in the Challenger explosion, once said, “I touch the future. I teach.” We believe that each of you, through your dedication and passion, will touch the future and leave a profound impact on the lives of your students this year.

Thank you for all that you do. Here’s to a wonderful year ahead, filled with learning, growth, and the joy of teaching.
