Challenge and growth: the DP year begins with a message from our Head of DP, Ms Sara Casagrande
The Diploma Programme is an academic journey marked by significant change. Academic demands grow, and so does the desire for independence; personal growth goes hand in hand with preparing for the responsibilities and opportunities that await students beyond school. It is with this in mind that our Head of DP, Ms Sara Casagrande, welcomes our students and their families.
“Our goal is to develop young people who are able to think critically, communicate effectively, manage challenges with resilience, and take ownership of their learning. We also want to ensure that students are appropriately challenged according to their individual strengths and aspirations.
This year, we are particularly excited to build on H-ELEVATE, our programme designed to provide additional challenges and opportunities for high performing students. This programme reflects our belief that academic excellence is not simply about achieving high grades, but about developing curiosity, ambition, intellectual independence, and the confidence to engage with complex ideas beyond the curriculum.
At the same time, the DP is a demanding programme, and success depends on consistency. Organisation, attendance, engagement, meeting deadlines, and developing effective study habits are essential. We will continue to work closely with students and families to help them understand these expectations and to ensure that students receive the guidance and support they need to meet them.”
Welcoming back our students and families and meeting the new faces of H-FARM International School, fills us with joy. We can’t wait to begin a year full of challenges and opportunities for all of us.
