H-FARM International School – CIS milestone on the path to accreditation
H-FARM International School has reached a major milestone in its international accreditation journey with the Council of International Schools. The Confirmed Accreditation Plan has now been officially published, the outcome of a long and meticulous process led by the school’s academic team under the supervision of Anthony Hamblin, Head of School for the Primary Years Programme and Accreditation Coordinator.
The document, finalised at the conclusion of the Preparatory Engagement Visit held in February 2026, offers a detailed picture of the school today and sets out the roadmap for the months ahead, leading up to the Team Evaluation Visit scheduled for 2027, which will run in parallel with the review of the IB programmes.
The findings of the CIS visitors paint a highly positive picture. The school is described as a community in which vision, mission and the six dimensions of success “continue to provide purpose and direction for decisions across the school”, recognised and embraced by students, staff and families alike. CIS also notes that there are “explicit and implicit messages across the campus that convey this belief in a future-forward education”, confirming the authenticity of the school’s educational identity.
On the wellbeing front, the report highlights “the high quality of relationships between teachers and students” and “a strong sense of inclusion within the student body”, supported by a structured system of internal counselling and external professional services. On the academic side, the visitors acknowledge “a strong commitment among leadership representatives, staff and students to the IB curriculum frameworks”, together with the promotion of student agency and a culture of innovation “particularly evident in the Middle School”, starting with the personal project and the entrepreneurship initiatives.
The boarding provision also receives a positive assessment. CIS describes “an inclusive and caring environment” and refers to the residential staff as “trusted adults who enjoy their work”, supported by regular and responsive communication with families and by the introduction of the Reach App as a monitoring and safeguarding tool. The quality of the bedrooms is also praised: “sizable rooms, well designed for sleep, study and privacy”.
The report further recognises the value of the school’s integration with Nord Anglia Education, pointing to “an alignment between the new owners, the current leadership and the board on shaping the direction of the school”, financial planning that is “structured and systematic”, and a Director General with “a strong business background” and a thorough understanding of enrolment dynamics and markets.
Alongside these strengths, the plan clearly sets out the three Development Initiatives on which the school will focus over the coming months:
- the design of a shared Learning and Teaching framework, to strengthen pedagogical coherence and vertical alignment across PYP, MYP and DP;
- the evolution of the school’s body of policies and procedures, in line with the systems of the Nord Anglia network, with clear review cycles, defined ownership and greater accessibility for all stakeholders;
- an increasingly strategic use of data to support continuous improvement in learning, wellbeing and safeguarding, through the implementation of iSAMS and targeted training for the team.
In parallel, the school is consolidating, together with the safeguarding team at Nord Anglia Education, the update of its child protection policies and the new monitoring systems. The work to finalise the boarding handbooks for staff, students and families has already received positive feedback from CIS, which recognised the solid structure of the documents and their ability to “convey the culture of boarding that H-FARM offers and wants to embed further”.
This is an achievement that rewards the unwavering commitment of the entire academic team, and one that places H-FARM International School firmly within a journey of continuous improvement recognised by one of the world’s leading accreditation bodies for international schools.
